Shiny Brite Ornaments: Old vs. New

The original Shiny Brite Company went out of business in the 1970s and left a void in the American glass ornament market that was not filled until Christopher Radko bought the Shiny Brite name and began producing his version of the classic Shiny Brite ornaments.

The Radko collection this year features 4 lines of Shiny Brite ornaments

  • The Vintage Silver collection features classic  Christmas shades of red. green and white
  • The Jubilant Jolly collection features jewel tones of red, green, blue and purple
  • The Popsicle Dream collection features bold pastels in green, red, blue and purple
  • The Rainbow collection features variegation or stripes of the colors of the rainbow

All of these lines can be viewed on the Christopher Radko website. The suggested retail prices are in line with what boxes of Shiny Brite ornaments are selling for on eBay. So you as a collector can choose whether you like the highly decorated Radko style or the simplicity of genuine vintage Shiny Brite ornaments.
